The Future Of Filmmaking Right In The Palm Of Your Hand

If you haven’t heard of the company called Moment. This is the moment to listen up. See what I did there?

Also know as the futurists of mobile filmmaking, Moment is a collection of photographers, videographers, designers, and engineers that began on Kickstarter by creating lenses for phones but they do more than just that. They also make gear, develop apps and provide guiding trips in order to help people get out and ‘follow their lens’ as they say.

Just recently, being their 4th campaign, they launched new products called the Moment Filmmaker Collection! They quickly realized that the market was missing a product that allowed you to use your Iphone to film with the highest quality lens possible. Making it one of the biggest competitions for DSLR cameras. With the addition of the Anamorphic lens, you can now capture a wide field of view.

Normally, at a hefty price, they have made the lens affordable! Making it easy as can be to shoot like a professional, on your smartphone. In other words, it’s like shooting a wider focal length in the horizontal direction and a longer focal length in the vertical. You can now capture a super wide-angle image with the inherent shallow depth of field and perspective of a telephoto lens. Anamorphic lenses capture such a wide field of view, they have to squeeze the image down so that it can fit on a standard-sized sensor. When shooting digitally, you then have to “de-squeeze” the image after shooting. Moment plans to update its camera app to allow you to de-squeeze the image while shooting.

This is going to revolunize the industry! Especially for all of the Youtubers and Influencers that rely on expensive equipment and cameras in order to film their videos and for their vlogging episodes. Those on a budget, now have the chance of purchasing a smartphone add on with the quality of any other DSLR camera.

They came out with their Kickstarter page 23 days ago, on Mar 27 2018 until Apr 20 2018. They orginally pledged a goal of $50,000, but unbelievebly raised that amount in just the first 41 minutes. Today, they have 10,533 backers that have pledged $1,588,085 to help bring this project to life. The pledging process is now closed! If you missed out, you can preorder online for their extension to come out for the public! They will be available for shipping October 2018! Grab one before they're gone! This could change your life and quality of videos you take forever!
