Meero's Pick: +6 conferences every decider in real estate should attend in 2020
As 2019 comes to a close and budgets are submitted, it’s time to start thinking about what is in store for 2020. One of our favorite topics here at Meero (if you couldn’t tell) is Real Estate since our team is chock-full of specialists so we thought we’d share our list of our favorite real estate shows for the upcoming year.
10-13 March, 2020
MIPIM takes place in Cannes every spring and is four days of networking, exhibitions, keynotes events and more in the sunny south of France.
Why MIPIM? In their own words: “MIPIM, the premier real estate event, gathers the most influential players from all sectors of the international property industry for four days of networking, learning, and transaction through premium events, conferences and dedicated exhibition zones.”
According to the MIPIM website, the show covers 22,000 meters squared, expects more than 26,800 participants, 6,380 investors and hosts 480 speakers.
International Property Show
Dubai, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES
24-26 March, 2020
With more than 100 exhibitors and more than 20,000 visitors per year, the International Property Show in Dubai is a must for anyone interested in real estate in the Middle East.
Here, visitors will have the pleasure of meeting brokers or other service providers, and investors in the Gulf region will be able to discover many interesting and promising real estate services.
The Property Investor Show
3-4 April, 2020
One of the smaller shows on our list (with 185 exhibitors and approximately 75 seminars), The Property Investor Show is still worth taking a look at if you are looking at the B2C market. This show takes place on Friday and Saturday and is free for entry, so you will be addressing a less business-oriented crowd but can still find a lot of interesting information at their seminars, debates, and workshops.
Additionally, the show also boasts that they have a focus on emerging or ‘long-haul’ markets like New Zealand, India, Dubai, Cape Verde, The Gambia, and Nigeria. In their own words: “International agents and developers will be present alongside specialists who can advise on the process of buying, selling, and even moving overseas.”
